My Blogging Journey and How it Became My Passion
I didn’t intend to become a blogger, it just sort of happened that way. I’ve learned life surprises you a lot along the way. If you are a long time reader you already know this but if you’re new this is my story of how I became a blogger and why. I never really knew what I wanted to be when I “grew up” I was 25 married and had a child and still had no idea what I wanted to be. I was working as a nanny and going back to college. I couldn't really decide on a major and kept switching nothing really felt right but I wanted to go to school.
Then with no warning my life changed completely. I woke up one morning and had suffered a stroke during the night. I was 25 and healthy so this was a complete shock. I had to stop working and going to school and focus on recovering. I lost a lot of use of my left side of my body, I still have less use than I did but I’ve improved a lot in almost 5 years. During this time I was on the computer a lot and started discovering blogs. It gave me something to do and keep me entertained, there is only so much TV you can watch surprisingly.
After awhile I decided to try writing my own blog I didn’t know if it would go anywhere or if I’d even stick with it but I had nothing to lose and I gave it a shot. Here I am two and a half years later still blogging. Other than being married and being a mother it’s the longest I’ve really done something. I tend to lose focus quickly but I’ve stuck with blogging. Especially since I don't find myself or my life that entertaining or worth reading about.
The reasons I love blogging is one that there is just so much to learn and I enjoy learning. I feel like blogging is one of those things where you could never run out of new things to learn about and new things to try. That is exciting to me. I also love the community I’ve been a part of. I value ever comment and email from people who’ve read my blog. For one I can’t believe there are people out there reading what I write and even better that they are actually liking it. That is pretty amazing. I love the facebook groups I’m a part of for blogging. They expose my blog to so many new readers and I’ve found so many cool blogs and bloggers by being in these groups.
Blogging has helped me find my purpose and share my story with others. It’s connected me with people from all over that I never would have met. I’m so grateful for that. This is why I’m offering my free blog consults to help answer any blog questions you have. Just click the tab at the top and book your free session. I have a couple sessions booked so far but there are still lots of available spaces. Next year I’m going to expand on blog consulting and helping other bloggers. I want to share what I’ve learned and my passion for blogging with as many people as I can. So that’s why I started blogging and how it quickly became an important part of my life.
